Perfect Moment Monday: Snug.
The end of daylight savings time was wonderful pre-baby because we got an extra hour of sleep. Now I see how rough it is, because we were terrified that V would get up at 5:30am instead of 6:30.
I have a tough but brilliant plan that seemed to have worked. Visit the next time zone over for a few days. When V and I went to visit my person last week, he was wired. His sleep schedule was so off, it wasn’t funny. However, when we came back, we kept V on Central time more or less. While he got a little sleepy early last night, we kept him playing until he was almost giddily delirious.
When Mr. Badger and I were doing treatments, I would watch him snooze on the couch on the weekend and know that all I needed to be happy was to see a baby sleeping on his chest. Because of the time change, all of our clocks were still a little wonky yesterday, and so when V needed a nap, we all went into our bed and snuggled. V was crawling around on the bed, but then after a few minutes he began to slow, dropping his head to the mattress every few wiggles. Finally he was asleep between us.
And I was perfectly happy.

I’m so surprised that your travel trick worked. You’ll have to report how well it lasts.
I live in Arizona where we don’t change time .. but we do change batteries and flip mattresses. Funny thing though, since all the rest of the country changes .. except Hawaii .. it feels like we go through ‘the change’ with you.
Next time, we need photos of that nap. Sounds soo cute.
Love it! That’s a good tip.
The family nap is a beautiful image.
Aw, that sounds perfect! My son fights sleep if he is anywhere but a crib.
Awww. That’s definitely a perfect moment.
What a delightful image of a family nap. Visiting for PMM, thanks for sharing.
sounds wonderful. I am waiting for my ever busy boy to sit next to me and fall asleep.
Now that, is a perfect moment.
That is so sweet. I love taking naps with babies.
DELICIOUS!!
